The Domaine du Taille is situated in a forest of different pines species near Vesseaux in the Ardeche department in the south of France. The complete valley contains the park of this hotel dedicated to ecology and spirituality.

In 2010 EcoStab was asked to participate in the conception of a natural swimming pool.

The project was designed with the nursery specialized in aquatic plants "Les jardins du Sauvionne" (Phillip Walker, today compagnie des forestier) and the "atelier arborisculpture" (Xavier Ott) who signed for the park and Japanese garden of the hotel.  The work was executed during spring 2011.

The bath consist in a classical swimming basin joint to a complex filtering system. This contains a deep vertical filter working in anaerobia and a repositioning pond for oxygenation and regeneration. From there the water is pumped back to the swimming basin through a natural cascade or a fountain.  The system is calculated for an average of 70 persons and 30 minutes per day, which seems realistic for a hotel specialized on workshops.

Included into the homepage of the Domaine du Taille you will find the possibility of a virtual walkabout of the site. The natural pool is situated near the western limit of the terrain.
